What does Steve Bannon mean when he says President Trump is maniacally focused on his agenda?

White House chief strategist Steve Bannon said of President Trump: “He’s laid out an agenda... with the promises he made, and our job everyday is just to execute on that...and he’s maniacally focused on that."

The word maniacally can mean "exhibiting extremely wild or violent behaviour", but in informal use it means "exhibiting or denoting obsessive enthusiasm".

It's possible Bannon actually meant "manically", ie in a state of abnormally elevated... arousal, and/or energy levels. But this also has alternative definitions about mania or craziness.
