Has the House of Lords vote changed things for EU citizens living in Britain?

It's too early to say. The Lords defeated the Government by amending the Brexit bill to guarantee the right of EU citizens living in the UK to remain after Brexit. The Government wants rights of UK citizens living in the EU to be protected as a reciprocal deal, so the amendment may yet be overturned by the House of Commons. Government sources have indicated they will seek to overturn it.
