Why has graffiti artist Banksy opened a hotel, the Walled Off Hotel, in Bethlehem?

Graffiti artist Banksy is opening a hotel, called the Walled Off, in Bethlehem next to the high concrete wall which has been built by the Israeli government around the occupied West Bank. It is part of a political gesture by Banksy to draw attention to the wall which he has decorated in the past with graffiti, as pictured above. The hotel is due to open on 20 March.
