Opposition to the original "travel ban" executive order. tedeytan
What has changed in the travel ban introduced by President Trump?
The new travel ban has a similar goal to the original executive order signed by Donald Trump in February 2017, but it has some difference:
It applies to six countries - Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Iran, Yemen, Libya - but not to one of the original seven. Iraq is now not on the list of banned countries because the US needs co-operation of many Iraqis in the fight against so-called Islamic State.
The ban will be introduced after a two-week period, rather than immediately as with the first ban
It does not apply to people who are already permanent US residents or who have visas
What was an indefinite ban on refugees from Syria is now a 120-day ban.
