International Men's Day is on 19 November. Each year on international women's day, comedian Richard Herring spends the day answering tweets in which people have asked, sarcastically, when men would get their own international day. November 19th he answers each tweet, patiently.

He explained his motivation in Waitrose Weekend newspaper, saying that people who question the concept of International Women's Day are "so transparently self-centred".

"It's the impulse that drives your kids on Mother's Day or Father's Day to whine: 'When will there be a Children's Day?' Although at least the children have the excuse of being children."
