Will Britain have to pay to pay a Brexit fee to leave the EU? And if so, what for?
Nobody knows yet. Some insiders in the EU say the UK should pay as much as £60bn as its rightful contribution to commitments it has already signed up to. Others, such as UK Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson, say Prime Minister Theresa May should insist that the UK should get a refund. It's inevitable that the question of payments either way will become part of the Brexit negotiations between the UK and the EU.
