Did the UK's secret listening post tap Donald Trump's phones?

If they did, they're not saying. A rare statement issued by GCHQ, the UK's security services' listening centre, responded to claims endorsed by White House spokesman Sean Spicer that GCHQ had tapped Donald Trump's phones by saying:

"Recent allegations made by media commentator Judge Andrew Napolitano about GCHQ being asked to conduct 'wiretapping' against the then president-elect are nonsense. They are utterly ridiculous and should be ignored."
