Would people support the idea of leaving the EU with no trade deal to follow it?

YouGov asked people what they would want to happen if the UK and EU could not agree on a trade deal to follow Brexit. Most people said if there was no deal the UK should go back and try again. But if people were forced to choose:

  • 41% of people said Britain should carry on and leave on those terms
  • 32% thought there should be a referendum on whether to stay in the EU after all
  • 27% of people were unsure
