Can people from European countries still settle in the UK?
Yes they can, although there had been some speculation that retrospectively the date of the triggering of Article 30 might be imposed as a "cut off"date after which new settlers would find their rights curtailed. Chancellor of the Exchequer Philip Hammond however said on 29 March 2017 when asked to confirm if EU citizens could still come to the UK:
"Of course they can come here after today. We remain full members of the European Union with all the obligations and rights of membership."
