Did President Trump say he was going to deal with North Korea with or without China?

In an interview with the Financial Times, President Trump was asked how ambitious he wanted to be in negotiations with China and whether that would include solving North Korea. He replied:

"Well, if China is not going to solve North Korea, we will. That is all I am telling you."

The paper asked: "And do you think you can solve it without China's help?" He replied:

"Totally."

"One on one?" the paper questioned. He replied

"I don't have to say any more. Totally."
