Will the leaders have TV debates in this year's general election? #generalelection

No. The BBC's Laura Kuenssberg says that Prime Minister Theresa May's staff in Downing Street have made it clear they are not interested in having a leaders' debate - and they only happen because of agreement between the main parties and the broadcasters. The debates between Cameron, Clegg and Miliband in 2015 and Cameron, Clegg and Brown in 2010 as well as the 2015 Brexit referendum were seen as key events in the campaigns.
