What did the Moors Murderer Ian Brady actually do?
Ian Brady and Myra Hindley murdered five children they had kidnapped from north-east England over an 18-month period. Three of the bodies, those of 12-year-old John Kilbride, 10-year-old Lesley Ann Downey, and Edward Evans, 17, were found buried on Saddleworth Moor near Oldham. Brady and Hindley, who died in 2002, became known as the Moors Murderers. In 1985 he admitted killing Pauline Reade, 16, and Keith Bennett, who was 12. Brady was in prison for 51 years until his death on 15 May 2017. Despite pleas he never gave information about where Keith Bennett's body was buried.
