If electric scooters (e-scooters) are illegal to ride on roads, pavements and cycle lanes, where can you use them?

It is currently illegal to ride e-scooters on British roads, pavements and cycle lanes, but the law does permit use of 'powered transporters' on private land - as long as it's with the permission of the land owner. This means riding e-scooters is allowed on race tracks. At the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London, workers can legally hire 'Bird' branded e-scooters to ride from Stratford Station to the Olympic Park, using the estate's private roads.
